A wonderful Experience
She was constantly mentioning that there was another buyer interested in the property and who was an investor so that she needed me to reserve the property immediately. I felt like I had found the perfect house but they have ruined the whole excitement for me. They lied to me as if there was other interests to the property it wouldn’t still be on the market so there was no need for the stress they put me through. They have no care but for themselves and for the business. I raised a complaint and to this day no manager has emailed or called me to make contact and resolve the issue. My advice to anyone looking to buy with them is to be very cautious and not believe them as it’s all fake and short lived till they managed to tie you in. Pennsylvania has some of the lightest regulations on home improvement contractors in the US and there is no financial or criminal background check performed on contractors by the State.

Following substantial build delay and less than seamless move in experience when the time finally came the house had clearly been rushed and has multiple build quality defects. It’s a full time job trying to understand when items are going to be fixed, constantly chasing Cala for updates. Kitchen quality is of the poorest standard - cupboard doors misaligned, no soft closing etc. It is difficult to find anything positive to say about the house apart from its location. Like so many I’d heard glowing reviews of Cala however I feel utterly let down. Please be assured your feedback has been passed onto the regional team who will be in touch this week.

We had numerous snagging issues within the immediate period of moving in, most notably windows that allowed through an awful draught . We had a problem with uncompleted brickwork on the other side of the house too, behind a hopper, which led to rainwater not draining from the roof properly. Most recently we had a leak in pipes from the upstairs bathroom.

Some windows lost their seal, the window company replaced the first two. Two years later two more windows lost their seal and now I was told that labor was not covered and I had to replace them myself, these windows were supposed to have a 10 year guarantee. Another contractor said it looked like they were installed wrong.
