Corbin, Spear, Cheeks, and Green combined to miss 13 of 15 three-point attempts. Spear snapped a seven-game double-double streak, scoring eight points and adding four rebounds. According to the Nationals’ website, this was only the eighth time in MLB history in which a team hit four home run in a row. The last time this occurred was in 2010, when the Arizona Diamondbacks did it to the Brewers.
Hamilton was feeling it on a beautiful spring night, going deep for two-run homers in the first, third, seventh and eighth frames. It was 6-all when Arenado led off the ninth by clearing the wall in left field off Seranthony Domínguez (4-2) for his 17th home run. Arenando hit for the cycle on Friday night in the Cardinals’ 5-3 defeat to the Phillies. Nestor Cortes Jr. limited Houston to a pair of solo homers over three innings, hit back-to-back by Jake Marisnick and Bregman in the fifth. Yordan Alvarez added a solo homer facing Tommy Kahnle in the sixth.
Yet as one of their biggest stars prepares to rejoin the roster, there remains a score to settle from the club's first road trip. Yepez, the rookie who spent years in the Minors before getting to MLB and showing off his massive power, challenged Carlson to keep the streak going and extend it to four straight home runs. The first baseman’s hit eventually allowed the Cardinals to push to an early 2-0 lead when Arenado hit a shot to left-field.

Adcock homered off four pitchers that fateful night at Ebbets Field and even added a double. He finished the game with 18 total bases, which at the time was a Major League record. A classic slugfest in which the Phillies defeated the Cubs, 18-16, featured a historic day from one of the best to play the game. The teams combined for nine homers in the game, including four consecutive long balls by Schmidt. In the second game of a doubleheader, Whiten went wild, clubbing a grand slam in the first inning.
